The build from master-next is no longer needed -- it's been just cut to 4.15.0-89 currently in bionic-proposed.

Can you give that a try instead?

It has all fixes previously in master-next, and nothing new remains in qla2xxx.

$ git log --oneline Ubuntu-4.15.0-89.89..origin/master-next -- drivers/scsi/qla2xxx/
$
