@Niko since you have an S145 you might want to try this:

Just adding the "i8042.nopnp=1 pci=nocrs" kernel parameters to grub made the touchpad work on a IdeaPad S145-15IIL 81W80025YA I had in my hands.
However, the above does not work on a ThinkBook 15IIL.
