I can confirm that the issue is still present with kernel 5.4.0-40-generic and BIOS version DJCN17WW

I bought this laptop to use it with ubuntu but it is unusable without the touchpad. We've been waiting for the fix 5 months already. I am ready to share any info that may help to resolve the issue.
