I recently bough lenovo thinkbook 15 - IIL and I can confirm that the newest version of kernel nor boot parameter updates changed the state, touchpad is the only driver that's not found. If there is anything that you need I will provide it instalty because I bought this laptop for linux use only and I can't use mouse all the time.

Also a thing that I noticed, everytime i boot or exit sleep in ubuntu, I get notified that my touchpad is activated(the icon that you get when you disable touchpad by keyboard shortcut for me its FN F6). But even with that I dont have a working trackpad.
