I have the same problem on Pop!_OS 20.04. I temporarily disabled AER by using "sudo kernelstub -a pci=noaer".

Ubuntu uses GRUB, so append GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT line in /etc/default/grub adding "pci=noaer".
