There is for sure a bug.
As I said, I know how a system behaves that is suffering from too much swapping.

My case is far worse.

and still, about once a day the GUI is completely locked. this cannot be explained from swapping and cannot be solved by disabling swap.

I think the only kernel yet that did not suffer was
