Made a little progress: headphones work with
/etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base.conf:
options snd-hda-intel model=mono-speakers

Volume is loud and clear, in stereo!

alsa-info.sh output is attached with coefficients. Headphones were not plugged in at that time to keep the diffs to a minimum.
