Not sure if I had to do something else, but I also installed 2 kernels from https://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/:

After restarting the laptop, neither can connect to the 2.4 GHz connection.
Had a look at the list with external drivers, shows as not functional card, but 5 GHz connection works fine, just like before installing those drivers.

Should I do something else? Thanks.
