Bug Description

Hello, Devs!

I found since kernel x86_64 Linux 4.15.0-60-generic at Ubuntu 18.04 my external USB mouse in Samsung ultrabook (NP900X4C) scroll not working! (with weel at middle mouse button)

With touchpad scroll works fine.

This is cat /proc/bus/input/devices info from 3 latest kernels (I have managed to boot different kernels thru Grub2 menu):

Case - kernel: x86_64 Linux 4.15.0-58-generic
(external USB mouse middle scroll button works well)

And evtest /dev/input/event6 not shows any mouse scroll events (If I don't move mouse)

But just PRESSING middle mouse button is OK:

# evtest /dev/input/event6
[...]
Event: time 1568199190.499958, -------------- SYN_REPORT ------------

Event: time 1568199190.587896, type 1 (EV_KEY), code 274 (BTN_MIDDLE), value 0

This is my first bugreport, I hope additional info of my system setup is attached...

I forgot to mention that if I log into fresh Ubuntu account in case of booting x86_64 Linux 4.15.0-62-generic it doesn't helps - mouse scroll still not work.

Scroll works only on x86_64 Linux 4.15.0-58-generic ;(

Yes, it seems so. It seems it affects only quite old A4 mouses.

After I post this bug, I found another mouse (not A4 like 3 ones before! :) and scroll works perfectly!

Kernel: x86_64 Linux 4.15.0-62-generic
scroll is OK!
