I have this same problem, with a Linksys WAG 354 G, and an "Intel Corporation PRO/Wireless 4965 AG or AGN [Kedron] Network Connection (rev 61)".

I worked around it by changing the speed of the Wireless LAN on the Linksys (Wireless, Advanced Wireless settings) from Auto to 24Mb.

Hope this helps people find out what the problem with the driver is.
