It didn't work :/

same error.

I enabled some cifs debugging (https://wiki.samba.org/index.php/LinuxCIFS_troubleshooting):
# modprobe cifs
# echo 'module cifs +p' > /sys/kernel/debug/dynamic_debug/control
# echo 'file fs/cifs/* +p' > /sys/kernel/debug/dynamic_debug/control
# echo 7 > /proc/fs/cifs/cifsFYI

Attached is dmesg after the failed mount attempt.
