this issue is not limited to Ubuntu..

I've been suspending debian-bullseye (11) on
- dell [optiplex] 780 (c2q-q9400, 8gb, amd/ati cedar radeon hd 5000/6000/7350/8350)

lately and when I resume I have this issue. The d780 box has numerous lubuntu installs (used for QA & support) but I don't suspend any of them.

Of note it's been a looooong time since I've had this issue with my primary d960 box (it's on impish now as on development cycle).
