Same problem with HP ZBook G6 15.
Latest BIOS 1.05
Ubuntu 20.04.1 LTS
The problem occurs with kernel 5.4.0.42 but not with the previous version 5.4.0.26.
Only workaround that works with me is acpi=off as boot parameter.
