@James，　thanks for your comment, the kernel of 18.04.1 doesn't include my patches yet, you can have a try https://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/v4.20/, to see if you still can experience popping from L-Channel and if you can hear noise from headphone (#12).
