Sorry,

PC crashes after beginning to collect infos. Firefox open / then a windows of collect open too ... begin to collect and crashes !

I started on recovery mode to run dkpg repare and pc says ... repare symbolic line "/user/bin/python"
I run "Resume" to continue starting and crashes too ... To stop : shutdown

Sorry but there is a long time I spoke English .... I am living in France ... A town near Reims

I think That upgrade didn't correctly make... Maybe I will format hard system disk where is Ubuntu to re-instal correctly. I use dual boot Win 10 / Ubuntu and on Ubuntu VirtualBox with Win 8.1

  • EFI bugs Edit (43.7 KiB, application/vnd.oasis.opendocument.text)

Hie, Too much bugs to restart pc. Finally after format hard disk, impossible to install Ubuntu 18.04...
My PC : ASUS ROG GL753VD. Notebook . Bios change version (307)... No possibility to put a bootable usb on CSM mode... Only EFI permiss. To restart, I put Ubuntu 16.04 EFI, then upgrade with ubuntu 18.04.1 and then bug !!! Black screen and problem with ACPI temp sensors... See attachment words.... To restart, Recovery start/ Clean and remove all fills proposed, Then dkpg repair. Then resume and black screen obtained !
Restart and Ubuntu 18.04 gone in bad quality.... Then, upgrade on Ubuntu 18.10. Seems correct but many fonction don't work ! (colour of screen (fade and white cloud... no contrast, saturation can be used) Driver AMDNVidia correct (390), virtualbox (I am looking on forum to see more...)).
This way ubuntu 18.10 is correctly installed. He asked me a new password to bios enter...
I think that is a problem of EFI and secure boot management... And too bugs with sensors use. I don't find where is fan sensor...
