That release note is so poorly written that I thought it meant: this update will not install on computers with the NFC model. Still, after a while I released that this update is meant to *fix* that problem with Linux. Hurrah!
Yet, it looks as though this update will install . . only on Windows. For, it is an 'exe'. Moreveover, the release notes say: 'The UltraNav driver needs to be installed to install this firmware.' That may mean that a Windows PreBoot Environment - which I use for installing Windows-only stuff Lenovo provides - will be unable to install the update. We will see.
