The time of the Xorg crash file is ~correct for the crash that logged me out (between 1st & 2nd line in my syslog snippet). I was using XFCE or Xubuntu-session login (this issue only ever happened with XFCE/Xubuntu but I can't guarantee it was XFCE the first in list & not Xubuntu-session; they look & act identical [for me] after login)
the other one (light-locker) I can't recall. Yes I've been testing sleep (inc. other DEsktops but not at that time (I don't remember, this recall is from scanning syslog messages). I can see I hand't put my machine to sleep for some time before or after it, and the next minute opened a terminal (common behavior), hence don't believe it's related.
