Setting thunderbolt to No Security on my device (XPS 9500 with Ubuntu 20.10) fixes the random disconnect, but input devices still randomly stop working.
The only way to fix this is to unplug them and plug them back in.

When they stop working there is no disconnect message, or any other message, in my dmesg.
