My computer was under warranty (brand new) so I had the keyboard/trackpad replaced. Never had any problems since. (I actually recorded a short film with my phone of me pressing buttons and the mouse clicking just in case I would have to demonstrate to some technician, but I never had to. It's a corporate PC).
