Correction. I thought v4.12-rc1 had i40e 2.1.7 because of:

But it actually has 2.1.14 from the log output.

So the correct status is:

v4.12-rc1 with i40e 2.1.14 - bad
v4.12 with i40e 2.1.14 - good
