Yesterday, with my daily Ubuntu update, kernel 4.15.0-33 was installed.
Aha, I thought, perhaps now my Ethernet activation after suspension problem is solved.
But no, it was not to be. Kernel 4.15.0-33 does not solve my problem.
And so I have once again reverted to the earlier kernel 4.13.0-31, where everything works as it should and my Ethernet is reliably activated after returning from suspension.
