Bug Description

No matter the interface I choose Ubuntu 17.10 freezes/ crashes. Unity, Ubuntu (Gnome), Ubuntu (Gnome) with Xorg, Kodi, and SteamOS. I looked it up, and everybody has had this issue in the beta constantly. There was no fix, and it only seems to get worse. Most of the time it freezes after 20 minutes of running Ubuntu.

Yes it started after the upgrade to 17.10, and the prior kernel where I was not having this issue was 17.04

Sorry I can not test/ install the latest upstream kernel because of my wifi drivers. As you can see in order to test/ install the kernel version I have to disable, and uninstall proprietary drivers. My broadcom wireless drivers fall into that category.

As I have said multiple people have had these freezing issues. However a lot of them have found solutions. Their solutions have not worked for me, and it appears multiple people have had this has been going on since the alpha & beta of 17.10

Though I did not install until it was officially released. I dislike alphas, and betas. However I see the appeal. I just always been the type to install an official release only so I don't have to deal with these types of issues on a clearly unstable OS revision.

Can you enable persistent systemd-journald log?

After the freeze happens, use `journalctl -k -b -1` to collect last kernel message.

Unfortunately I am not an advanced user to provide information like the above (I don't even understand these), but I do know that I want to help and I do know that Ubuntu 17.10 is the first (I am using ubuntu since 11.04) that I cannot afford (it is worse than windows!).

Issue:
Randomly the environment freezes. I can use the mouse. I can move to another "screen" (I do not know the proper name): ctrl+alt+f2 and close open apps (through command line) like firefox or thunderbird or nautilus but nothing changes.. when or if I can go back to ctrl+alt+f7. If ubuntu only 'wants that' then it will unfreeze. The only solution I was found is the reset button.. Thank's libreoffice for automatic backups or I would have changed the OS already.
