I built a 17.10(Artful) test kernel with a pick of the following commit:
67f8a8c1151c ("KVM: PPC: Book3S HV: Fix bug causing host SLB to be restored incorrectly")

The test kernel can be downloaded from:
http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~jsalisbury/lp1725350/

Can you test this kernel and see if it resolves this bug?
