I can confirm that I was seeing the message before installing proposed kernel for bionic

"kernel: wlp5s0: failed to remove key (1, ff:ff:ff:ff:ff:ff) from hardware (-22)"

after updating to latest proposed
Linux version 4.15.0-24-generic (buildd@lgw01-amd64-056) (gcc version 7.3.0 (Ubuntu 7.3.0-16ubuntu3)) #26-Ubuntu SMP Wed Jun 13 08:44:47 UTC 2018 (Ubuntu 4.15.0-24.26-generic 4.15.18)

I no longer see the above message.

My hang on shutdown has been fixed for some time however.
