If you are still uploading a file, then you couldn't possibly be disconnected for inactivity. Are you getting an error message that says that?

2) Does your router have the latest "Software version" as per Vodafone?

3) If you turn off the FTP server inside the router GUI, and then try to FTP to other accounts on the internet, is this still reproducible?
