2) In my house I have a Vodafone modem/router to connect to the Internet. It has a FTP jack on the back so that I can put my USB/Drive or USB memory stick in it and have a FTP inside my house for streaming, documents and so on.

After a few seconds during an upload I get disconencted from the server for inactivity. This problem used to hang the whole internet connection in my house but not after the BIOS upgrade anymore.
After the BIOS upgrade I just get disconnected and the upload fails but I can use the connection for browsing now on other sites with Firefox for example.
I tried to upload a big file to other FTP accounts on Internet and the behavior looks the same: it disconnects me from the server after a few seconds of real upload. I tried with Filezilla, crossftp and gftp.
