Using Xubuntu Lucid. Bug still present with same description :
If either PCM or Master volume is set to 0, I can still hear sound.
(If both are at 0 I can't but I suppose it is not muted, just too low for my Hi-Fi and ears.)

What is "apport information" ? Is it "cat /proc/asound/cards'' and "amixer'' ?
