Ubuntu 20.04 with kernel 5.4.0-89-generic on MacbookPro10,1 still have this issue from time to time (espescially when a lot of apps are open, and after a first sleep-wakeup that worked.

The XHC1 doesn't fix the issue but the LID0 does.
echo LID0 >/proc/acpi/wakeup
