Intel 7260 Wifi not working on Ubuntu 15.10

I'm unable to use my Intel 7260 Wifi card on a clean Ubuntu 15.10 install. It is able to connect to my wifi network but after a few seconds the connection stop working. The same card on the same notebook used to work without problems on Ubuntu 15.04. I'm sending below the output of lspci and dmesg.

I'm sorry but I replaced my wifi card with an old one I had to be able to use the wifi. So I'm unable to further test this for the moment.

At first I was assuming that the problem was related to the software since it started happening after I moved to Ubuntu 15.10, but know I'm starting to think it might be related to the hardware since it seems I'm the only one having this issue.

Installed this card on my laptop with current u15.10 and I get very poor performance. Tried 15.04 with same result.

Intel site says this kernel (4.2) needs version 13 but it is looking for 14 or 15?

Tried an archived version of 14, it loaded but performance just as bad

Further to my comments #23 above, I have now found that this card is working well. I was initially fooled by the bitrate going to 1mb/s whenever there is no data transfer. When data is moving it reaches around 200mb/s (n type AP) and stays there. I have not seen this behaviour with other wifi cards which seem to display a constant bitrate regardless of what's going on.

It seems to be loading a default/fallback firmware that works well but is still missing out on the direct load - see below
