I have updated the BIOS and the problem persists.

I hibernate with the following commands
echo platform > /sys/power/disk
echo disk > /sys/power/state

The system goes into hibernation. When I start the laptop again, it loads the image and the system stops after the third non-boot CPU is offline. The cursor is still blinking, but nothing happens.

If I use
echo shutdown > /sys/power/disk
I don't seem to have a problem.

$ sudo dmidecode -s bios-version && sudo dmidecode -s bios-release-date
