Regretfully initiating suspend via:

   sudo sh -c "sync && echo 1 > /sys/power/pm_trace && pm-suspend"

... does not suspend the computer, it seems to wake up immediately.

Suspending the computer via Gnome plugin or closing the lid results in a failed suspend.
