Bug Description

Starting with linux 3.19 the juniper network connect client establishes the VPN connection but has zero throughput on the virtual network adapter.

The log of the VPN client software show the following message:
adapter.warn IP Packet too small 0

The problem is known and fixed in 3.19.2 IIRC. The relevant patch is mentioned here:
https://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=90901
in comment 2.

The fix is not part of 3.19.0-14-generic.

A backport of the patch would be great, a downgrade to linux 3.16 is a viable workaround for the time being.

As workaround, Installed 4.0 kernel and VPN works, but a lot of other things not :(

Downgrading is an options as well (downgraded to 3.16 kernel and everything works for me).

This bug and bug 1448942 may be duplicates. I built a test kernel for bug 1448942 which has a cherry pick of commit 957f094

The test kernel can be downloaded from:

http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~jsalisbury/lp1448942/

Can folks affected by this bug test this kernel and see if it resolves this bug?

Note you will need to install both the linux-image and linux-image-extra .deb packages.

Just tried the above kernel on my laptop, unfortunately wifi isn't working on my laptop with this kernel so I couldn't test VPN. Will try it tomorrow on my desktop.

Yes, Juniper nc works with Joseph's patched kernel.

Joseph,

That kernel fixes it for me also. (and I did see that same error in my log so it's the same symptom)
