Bug Description

Not always using the same app, but this has happened 3 times now in the same day, just the day I installed the 14.10 version. It was working just fine with 12.04.

WORKAROUND: Ctrl + Alt + F2, Ctrl + Alt + F7.

I updated the BIOS as pointed, and was working fine, but after a while it froze again. Here's the output of the command supplied:

I didn't reboot the laptop this time, just switched to a terminal session, with Ctrl + Alt + F2, and then switched back to the GUI session, and this was enough to get the system responding again.

Sergio Del Valle, could you please capture the crash following https://help.ubuntu.com/community/DebuggingSystemCrash ? You are looking for either a kernel call trace, or a xorg backtrace to show up in the log to attach.
