worker01: trusty, unmodified => no problems
worker02: utopic, patched perl => massive swap use
worker03: utopic, mainline kernel (3.18.2-031802-generic #201501082011) => massive swap use

what should we do next? boot the utopic or mainline kernel on trusty?
