Federico Sassi, if your routers broadcast on both n and g, you could just disable n on your laptop via setting the following in /etc/modprobe.d/iwlwifi.conf :
options iwlwifi 11n_disable=1

Also, the latest mainline kernel to test with is http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/v3.18-vivid/ .
