Thanks for quick response Chris. I just tested the latest upstream and was able to reproduce the issue by simply closing the lid, wiating for suspend and then reopening the lid. The system completely freezes and hard reset is the only cure. Please, let me know if I can help with anything else

This was the uname report after kernel isntall and reboot to confirm I am running the new kernel:

~$ uname -a
