Tigran, just to clarify, you would switch to bisecting the mainline kernel (one single git repo) as outlined in the article.
However, regarding the BAD results, this would be not BAD but inconclusive. Hence, your bisect would need to be broadened to a known good and known bad testing results, not inconclusive.
