Christopher, I have changed kernel to 3.15.0-031500rc2-generic.
After reboot, the **wireless mouse was not detected**

I have changed back from xscreensaver to light-locker.
Bug #1303736 suggests that the bug is with the interaction between light-locker and xfce4-power-manager settings.
Lots of Xubuntu users are affected.

I'll continue using this kernel until it something goes wrong but these issues are starting the affect my ability to work on my machine and soon I will revert back to Xubuntu 13.04, the last stable Xubuntu.
