When I close my laptop and then open it, it will not wake up. The screen remains black. Otherwise the system is fine when running all applications, games, and such.

The system wakes when using the proprietary drivers but seems to have stability issues when using it (artifacts on dash every couple of days that disappear when I log out and log back in and occasional freezes where the screen is black with white lines on wake once every several days).
