I have the same problem after switching from Xubuntu 12.04 to 14.04 on a LENOVO ThinkCentre:
LENOVO 912075G/LENOVO, BIOS 2UKT55AUS 06/03/2008
AMD Athlon(tm) 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 5200+
The first message after 50 sec pause is always 'regulator-dummy: disabling'
In my case the problem is gone when booting with the option 'nolapic'
