I have reproduced this on a Macbook pro ( 10,1 ) with

Linux scottlinmacbook 3.14.1-031401-generic #201404141220 SMP Mon Apr 14 16:21:48 UTC 2014 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

I'm running kubuntu and have never had RESUME work once. SUSPEND seems to work, but RESUME fails 100% of the time. I can always see open windows on the screen and sometimes the mouse moves, but the machine takes 0 input ( the mouse pointer won't change as your cruise over text fields, etc... ) and eventually the mouse stops ( usually within 10 - 30 seconds ). No keyboard input is taken and I cannot switch to a virtual terminal.
