I confirm I have a similar problem on Ubuntu 14.04 amd64 with similar hardware, the error is "failed to get NCQ Send/Recv Log Emask 0x1". In my case the disk is not available, it is not listed with lshw.
My HDD Model: ATA Samsung SSD 840 Series (250GB)
My sysboard is an Asus M3N78-EM, with updated BIOS.
