Hi Christopher, thank you for the explanations.

I returned the EVO 840 and got the EVO 840 Pro instead from my local reseller.
So I cannot test any more into the subject.

I learned a lot about filing bugs in ubuntu, so this was very interesting.
Thank you for your advise so far.
