It has been a while.
Tested again. Bios still the same.
Now with v4.3-wily kernel. Still the same result.
Now tested with Windows 10 also. Got the same result there too.
I think this really is a bios issue, probably wont be fixed if I ask HP, because its an older model.
And I've learned to live with it.

Better to close the bug report.
