I did some testing with the 13.10 release version:
Kernel 3.10: works fine
Kernel 3.11-rc1: fails

I marked the bug as confirmed as per Joseph's instructions.

I've seen similar bug reports on other distros, it seems something got broken in kernel 3.11.
