I have the same problem using Karmic Koala. The first disk works finely but my second hard drive is very slow (~3MB/s).

The uname result :
Linux Void 2.6.31-14-generic #48-Ubuntu SMP Fri Oct 16 14:05:01 UTC 2009 x86_64 GNU/Linux

My computer :
Intel Core i7 920
Gigabyte GA-EX58-UD4 (Intel X58 Express)
Seagate Barracuda 7200.12 SATA 3Gb/s - 500 Go 7200 RPM 16 Mo Serial ATA II (1st disk)
Seagate Barracuda 7200.11 SATA 3Gb/s - 1 To 7200 RPM 32 Mo Serial ATA II (2nd disk)

I hope this issue will be solved.
