Comment 106 for bug 119730

Hi, I've compiled and installed the latest stable kernel 2.6.29.3 from kernel.org, and the bug is still present (even worse, transfer rates won't go over 1.5Mb/s).

How can I report this problem to the actual kernel/libata developers? I feel like posting here is not going to make any difference?

The only positive thing is that I've changed the preemption model to preemptible kernel and the timer frequency to 1000Hz and the desktop now feels really snappy.
