I tried to force CRDA but problem still persistent:

cat /etc/modprobe.d/cfg80211.conf
options cfg80211 ieee80211_regdom=CH

cat /etc/wpa_supplicant/wpa_supplicant.conf
ctrl_interface=/var/run/wpa_supplicant

Hi Brad,

I don't know what happened exactly but there's something that break wifi connectivity with newest kernel versions.

For example with other hardware:

 *-network
       description: Wireless interface
       product: WiFi Link 5100
       vendor: Intel Corporation
       physical id: 0
       bus info: pci@0000:03:00.0
       logical name: wlan0
       version: 00
       serial: 00:21:5d:ec:ac:14
       width: 64 bits
       clock: 33MHz
capabilities: pm msi pciexpress bus_master cap_list ethernet physical wireless
       configuration: broadcast=yes driver=iwlwifi driverversion=3.5.0-25-generic firmware=8.83.5.1 build 33692 ip=192.168.90.101 latency=0 link=yes multicast=yes wireless=IEEE 802.11abgn
       resources: irq:45 memory:febfe000-febfffff

Distributor ID: Ubuntu
Description: Ubuntu 12.10
Release: 12.10
Codename: quantal

It's impossible to use the wifi under kernel: 3.5.0-27.46, 3.5.0-28.48. As you can see on the logs:

Hassan El Jacifi, this bug was reported a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue? If so, could you please test for this with the latest development release of Ubuntu? ISO images are available from http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/daily-live/current/ .

If it remains an issue, could you please just make a comment to this.

Also, could you please test the latest upstream kernel available (not the daily folder) following https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds ? It will allow additional upstream developers to examine the issue. Once you've tested the upstream kernel, please comment on which kernel version specifically you tested. If this bug is fixed in the mainline kernel, please add the following tags:
kernel-fixed-upstream
kernel-fixed-upstream-VERSION-NUMBER

where VERSION-NUMBER is the version number of the kernel you tested. For example:
kernel-fixed-upstream-v3.13-rc1

This can be done by clicking on the yellow circle with a black pencil icon next to the word Tags located at the bottom of the bug description. As well, please remove the tag:
needs-upstream-testing

If the mainline kernel does not fix this bug, please add the following tags:
kernel-bug-exists-upstream
kernel-bug-exists-upstream-VERSION-NUMBER

As well, please remove the tag:
needs-upstream-testing

Once testing of the upstream kernel is complete, please mark this bug's Status as Confirmed. Please let us know your results. Thank you for your understanding.
