I installed the kernel you pointed me:

3.9.0-030900-generic #201305071030 SMP Tue May 7 14:39:20 UTC 2013 i686 i686 i686 GNU/Linux

rebooted and the reset doesn't appear anymore.

Now I'm copying some large file over the network and it seems to work properly, so I can tell that the but is already solved by the upstream kernel. :-)
