I'm glad to hear that commit fixes this bug. However, there are allot of changes in commit f447d56, so it may not be accepted into a stable kernel.

One other option would be for you to use the Quantal LTS Enablement kernel[0]. Would it be possible for you to test the LTS Enablement kernel to see if its and option for you?
